Not everything is as it seems when it comes to firestopping. This course will explore the most common—and commonly overlooked—firestop installation issues hiding in plain sight. Using real-world photos, we’ll train your eye to spot red flags that could easily be missed by the untrained observer. Learning Objectives: 1. Identify common deficiencies in firestop installations across various material types using real-world photographic examples. 2. Recognize firestop conditions that may appear compliant to the untrained eye but require further inspection or corrective action. 3. Evaluate firestop systems for compliance with manufacturer listings, installation instructions, and applicable codes. 4. Differentiate between proper and improper applications of firestop sealants, collars, sleeves, and backing materials. 5.
